Who We Are
The Better Project exists to promote economic independence and holistic well-being for vulnerable individuals, families, and communities. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to build stability, access resources, and create a future defined by dignity, possibility, and self‑determination. Rooted in a commitment to equity and community resilience, we work alongside those we serve to remove barriers, strengthen protective factors, and open pathways to long‑term success.
Since 2017, The Better Project has worked with countless children, adults, families, and communities to increase educational, economic, psychosocial, and overall well-being outcomes. We provide a continuum of supports—including financial empowerment programs, workforce development, family stabilization resources, and community‑based wellness programs that help people meet immediate needs while building the skills and confidence to thrive. Our approach is trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that sustainable change happens when individuals are supported within strong, connected communities.
Through partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and civic leaders, we amplify impact and ensure that our programs reflect the strengths, voices, and lived experiences of the communities we serve. Whether we are strengthening the well-being of a family, guiding a young adult entering the workforce, or supporting an entire neighborhood, our work is guided by compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to justice.
We envision communities where economic opportunity is accessible, well-being is nurtured, and every person has the support they need to build a thriving life. Every day, we move closer to that vision—one individual, one family, and one community at a time.
HEART is at the core of our work:
Hope. Empowerment. Advocacy. Resilience. Transformation.
